William was educated at All Saints School Higher Walton, Lancashire England. He arrived with his family in Australia c. 1912.
William was married to Elizabeth, they had two children, Kenneth McGregor LIVESEY born Camden (24 May 1914) and Hannah M LIVESEY born Mosman (1916)

His occupation was Shop Assistant when he enlisted in November 1915 at Mosman, Sydney and served in the 2nd Brigade HQ Australian Field Artillery.

William departed Sydney on the 'Ceramic' 14 April 1916 and arrived France via Egypt June 1916.

Gunner William Calbraith LIVESEY was killed in action in France on 29 April 1918 age 26.
